Carl Hugo Bushur, 90, passed away Wednesday morning, March 12, 2025, surrounded by family at his home in Effingham.
There will be a celebration of Carl's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Carl was born on October 5, 1934, in Effingham, the son of Anthony and Clara (Kollmeyer) Bushur. He married Dorothy Habing on October 20, 1956, and she preceded him in death on July 18, 2020. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Carl is survived by his children: daughters, Anita (Mark) Cornell of Effingham, Jody (Mike) Kabbes of Normal, IL, Angela (Wayne) Deters of Neoga; sons, Douglas of Effingha
