Larry Dean Robards, 86, of Dieterich, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Dieterich Village Cemetery in Dieterich, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Larry was born at home in rural Effingham County, IL (Heartville) on December 27, 1937. He was the son of Fletcher and Alice (Tedrick) Robards. He married Marilyn (Teiffel) Robards on June 12, 1960, at the Dieterich Christian Church. The couple has resided in Dieterich since their union.
