Donald "Don" Bergbower, 93, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Willowbrook Memory Support Residences in Effingham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham with military rites. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at the church. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Donald was born at home on May 5, 1931, in Jasper County, IL, the son of William and Veronica (Yager) Bergbower. He married Donna Lager on November 26, 1955 in San Diego, CA, and she preceded him in death on March 25, 2020.
