Ronnie Smith, age 63, of Salem, Illinois passed away in the early morning of Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Helia Healthcare in Salem, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood with a half hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Michael Durre will be officiating. Interment will be at Iola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorials may go to the donor's choice.
Ronnie was born on July 19, 1960 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, the son of Richard C. and Helen I. (Allen) Smith. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, training beagles and was also an avid cardinal fan.
He is survived by his parents, Richard Smith of Louisville, and Helen Whitney (Charles)of Farina; daughter, Jessica Lotz of St. Peter; brothers, Allen Smith of Farina and Paul Smith of Farina, Mike Whitney of Farina; sisters, Ellie Chandler of St. Elmo, Donna Mantich of Florida, Denise Siegler (husband Ben) of Louisvill
