James & Barbara Greear

Graveside service will be at the Edgewood Cemetery with military rites at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 followed by a memorial service at the Edgewood American Legion. Pastor Bud Story will be officiating.
James D. "Don" Greear was born at home in rural Clay County, Illinois on September 9, 1929, the son of William "Bill" and Iva Greear. He served in the United States Army. Don married Barbara Pickel and together they raised a family. He worked in the tree service industry then later as a painter/paper hanger. He is survived by one brother, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings, Lee Greear, Dale Greear, Roger Greear, Avon "Joe" Greear, Patrick Greear, Larry Greear, Yvonne White, Avis Greear, and Goldie Webster. Don passed on August 22, 2022.
Barbara E. Greear was born in Oskaloosa, Illinois on December 4, 1933, the daughter of Floyd and Goldie Pickel. Barbara married Don Greear, and they raised a family of five children. She worked as a waitress and late
