Lois M. Strom, 92, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Willowbrook Memory Support Residences in Effingham.

Lois was born on July 27, 1931, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Margorie Nordstrom. She married Arthur D. Strom on August 20, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2019.
Lois grew up in Moline and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. That is where she met Art, the love of her life. Lois and Art were married 69 years. Together, they traveled to all 50 states and 65 different countries in the world. They were both avid Illini fans and held season tickets to football and basketball games. She and Art delivered Meals on Wheels, rang the Salvation Army bell, and were greeters and the Cross. Lois was a PEO member and
